Doug’s grandfather passed away, and Doug’s going to be heading out of town for the funeral. A makeup class will be held at 0530 on Friday, July 30th. If you run into anybody who goes to the 0530, please let them know.

News Site Back Up

The main news site is back up. We lost all the old news posts (no biggie), but we also lost the MMA and Muay Thai competitor pages. I’ll be working on getting those back, hopefully in a new and easier to keep up to date format.


June 26 Tournament Results

Mason Slaughter took first in 13-14 intermediate, Gi and No-gi, also winning absolute.
Micheal Slaughter took first in 11-12 intermediate, Gi and No-gi, losing to Tony in absolute.
Tony took first in 15-17 beginner, Gi and No-gi, defeating Micheal in 11-12 Absolute.
Kristen Blum took first in 11-12 beginner female, Gi and No-gi, also winning Absolute.
Chase Blum took 3rd in 9-10 beginner, Gi and No-gi.

Ryan “College” Smith took first in intermediate lightweight, Gi and No-gi.
Nacho took first in advanced lightweight, Gi and No-gi.
Brad Montgomery took first in advanced light heavyweight Gi and No-gi, and took second in absolute.


Andrew Whitney loses a controversial Decision in KC

Andrew Whitney 3-3 lost a split decision to Anthony “Sharkbait” Gutierrez 15-1 in Kansas City Kansas, Memorial Hall last night.  Not sure what fight two of the three judges were watching but to the majority in attendance it seemed like it should have been a clear cut decision for SFC Fighter Whitney.
